Reach Out America will be presenting a discussion regarding the safety of our food, From Her Mouth to Yours: The Politics of Food, led by Katy Keiffer, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Shelter Rock, 48 Shelter Rock Rd. in Manhasset, on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 12:30 p.m.
Keiffer is a broadcaster, host of What Doesn’t Kill You on The Heritage Radio Network, cook, butcher, culinary publicist and food writer, as well as the author of the upcoming book, What’s the Matter with Meat. Following the lecture, there will be a question-and-answer session. Admission is free, refreshments will be provided and everyone
is invited.
In light of the recent election results, Reach Out America will be expanding its membership and program schedule. At every meeting, significant time will be devoted to political action and planning effective coalitions.
