A gunman sexually assaulted a 21-year-old woman in West Hempstead early Tuesday morning, Nassau County police said.
The attacker was armed with a handgun when he approached the victim on Terminal Road, drove her to an unknown location and sexually assaulted her at 4 a.m., police said.
The suspect fled scene on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
