A 25-year-old man was shot to death outside of his Brentwood home early Friday morning, Suffolk County police said.

Third Precinct officers responded to a 911 report of shots fired on Meadowbrook Drive near East Middle School and upon arrival they found Florentino Hernandez-Zavala suffering from a gunshot wound in the roadway at 5:35 a.m., police said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information on the shooting to call the them at 631-852-6392 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
