The Third Squad is investigating a robbery that occurred in Floral Park on Friday, Jan. 20, at 2:28 a.m.
According to detectives, a 48-year-old female desk clerk was working at the Floral Park Motel located at 30 Jericho Turnpike when an unknown male subject approached and stated he had a gun and demanded cash. The subject then grabbed the victim by the hair and demanded to know the location of money. The victim pointed to a top desk drawer and the subject then removed an undetermined amount of U.S. currency. He then fled on foot west on Jericho Turnpike. There were no injuries reported.
The subject is described as being male, black, 5’8″ tall, stocky build, 30-35 years of age, black hooded jacket, dark hooded sweatshirt, light colored pants and gray sneakers.
