A 65-year-old man was fatally hit by a car in Bohemia over the weekend.

Suffolk County police said the pedestrian was walking southbound on Johnson Avenue when he was struck by a Chevrolet Impala near the corner of Frederick Street at 6:33 p.m. Friday.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released. The driver was not injured.

Fifth Squad detectives impounded the vehicle, are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information on the crash to call them at 631-854-8552.
