South Middle School will perform Frank Loesser’s hit musical, Guys and Dolls, on Thursday, March 23, and Friday, March 24, at 7:30 p.m., and on Saturday, March 25, at 1 and 7 p.m., in the school’s auditorium at 349 Lakeville Rd.

This time-honored musical comedy revolves around Nathan Detroit who bets fellow gambler Sky Masterson that he can’t make the next girl he sees fall in love with him. She turns out to be Sarah Brown, a pure-at-heart, social-reformer type. The stage is set for hilarious complications as audiences enjoy memorable songs, such as “Luck Be a Lady,” “Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat,” “A Bushel and a Peck” and “If I Were a Bell.”

Guys and Dolls will be under the direction of Gabe Carras, English department head. For ticket information, contact ticket manager Susan Zucker at szucker@greatneck.k12.ny.us.
