A 31-year-old man was arrested for sexually assaulting his girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter, stabbing his girlfriend and stabbing another woman in Hempstead, Nassau County police said.

Tommy Vladim Alvarado-Ventura pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges of predatory sexual assault of a child, second-degree attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. The suspect, a member of the MS-13 street gang who was previously deported from the US four times, was ordered held without bail.

Special Victims Squad detectives alleged that he got into a confrontation with his girlfriend when she got home from work at 4:15 a.m. Wednesday and noticed that her daughter had “suffered severe injuries that were inflicted by him.”

When the argument escalated, Alvarado-Ventura punched and repeatedly stabbed his girlfriend, who then gathered her daughter and 4-year-old son and joined their babysitter, who lives in another area of the apartment that the victims share with the suspect, police said.

Two hours earlier, Alvarado-Ventura got into an argument with a 24-year-old woman over purchasing of marijuana at the nearby El Mariachi Loco bar on Fulton Avenue, authorities said. When the victim left the bar, Alvarado-Ventura punched her, kicked her and repeatedly stabbed her, causing her to suffer a collapsed lung, according to investigators. The suspect fled the scene of that incident prior to police arrival.

All three victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Hempstead village police officers arrested Alvarado-Ventura after the victims called 911.
