Long Island Easter Egg Hunts 2017

Long Island is hopping with egg hunts, bonnet parades and Easter Bunny visits this weekend. Here is a listing of local events for the occasion. Happy Easter!!!

Easter Village
Visitors will enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt, crafts, bounce houses, scavenger hunt, potato sack races, egg relay races, balloon twisting, face painting, pictures with live bunnies, as well as candy, popcorn, cookies and juice. Spring Egg Hunt
Egg hunts broken up into age groups, including tot garden, up to 2 years of age and general hunting grounds 3-8 years of age. Don’t forget your basket. No registration required. Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery & Aquarium, 1660 Rte 25A, Cold Spring Harbor. Caumsett Foundation Members Annual Egg Hunt
Members of the foundation and their families are invited to join the Annual Egg Hunt in the walled garden. Bring your basket and join the fun! In addition to refreshments, crafts and a petting zoo. Mr. Bunny and Mr. Carrot will be there to say hello. The event is for Caumsett Foundation members only. East Egg Hunt
Bouncy houses, face painting and more! Rockville Centre village green, corner of Maple and Lee avenues. Free. 11 a.m. Apr. 15.

Eggstravaganza
Inspect the Refuge egg & nest collection for ideas to create your own fun nest craft. You may want to bring a smock or an old shirt with you. We will decorate our own “nests” and color and decorate hard-boiled eggs to take home! A program for children ages 5-12. Reservations required, as space and supplies are limited. $8.00 per child. Spring Egg Hunt and Celebration
A fun-filled day of face painting, games, stories, wildlife programs, egg hunts, animal presentations and a guest appearance by the Easter Bunny. Sweetbriar Nature Center, 62 Eckernkamp Dr., Smithtown sweetbriarnc.org $5 kids, $15 adults. 12-4 p.m. Apr. 15.

East Bonnet Parade
An open invitation to wear decorative Easter Bonnets. Parade route starts in front of Muse restaurant and follows the Easter Bunny down Main Street to the Sag Harbor Garden Center petting zoo. Main St., Sag Harbor. sagharborchamber.com Free. 1 p.m. Apr. 15.

Easter Egg Hunts
There will be three different fields with different age groups per hunt. One for kids up to 4 years old, another for kids ages 5-7 and the third for kids ages 8 and up. All age groups will go at the same time in each hunt. Arrive 45 minutes or more prior to start time. Each hunt allows only a certain amount of kids within each field so that each child will have a good experience. This year we will have a variety of craft vendors each day. Breakfast with the Easter Bunny Egg Hunt
Kids will have 70 minutes to bounce, play, search & collect exactly six Easter Eggs hidden around our huge arenas and inside our gigantic inflatables. Kids then bring their found eggs to the Easter Bunny and he will give them a treat! The fun continues in the party room with a bagel breakfast & fun craft project! The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures on the Inflatable Throne and each child with a paid admission will also receive an awesome Goody Bag! Egg Hunt
Create a bunny craft and then hop on down Peter Cottontail’s Trail to a special spot on the Refuge for an egg hunt. Each child will receive a special gift. A very popular program for children–strictly ages 2 to 4 years old, accompanied by an adult, sign up early! $15.00 per child. Space is limited. Easter Brunch Buffet and Egg Hunt
With treats for both parents (first mimosa or bloody mary is free) and kids, festivities begin with an Easter egg hunt, followed by a petting zoo, a visit from the Easter Bunny, and brunch (which includes a cold table, waffle station, omelet station, breakfast buffet, Italian station, salad bar, carving station, Coney Island Kids station and dessert station).
