Special voter registrations for Great Neck Public Schools voting on May 16 for the Proposed 2017–18 Budget, the Revised 2017 Bond Referendum and for two Board of Education trustee positions will take place on Tuesday, April 25, and Wednesday, April 26, both evenings from 6 to 8 p.m., at Parkville School, 10 Campbell St. in New Hyde Park, and on Wednesday, May 10, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Lakeville School, 47-27 Jayson Ave.
These three registration events are in addition to ongoing voter registration at the Office of the District Clerk, Phipps Administration Building, 345 Lakeville Rd., on school days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The deadline to be registered to vote in Tuesday, May 16, election is Thursday, May 11. Participants must be registered by May 11 to be eligible to vote on May 16.
To be eligible to register to vote, you must be 18 years of age or older, a citizen of the United States and have lived in the school district for at least 30 days.
Residents who have voted in any school or general election since 2013 are already registered to vote on May 16.
Voting on May 16 will be held from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Qualified residents who live north of the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) may vote at the Baker School at 69 Baker Hill Rd. Qualified residents who live south of the LIRR may vote at South High School at 341 Lakeville Rd.
