GSNC honored local Central Park residents Jessica Gleicher and Tracy Gorman for their adult volunteer service with the Girl Scouts.

The Girl Scouts of Nassau County (GSNC) recently honored men and women for their achievements with the Girl Scouts during the 25th annual Adult Recognitions Awards Ceremony. Among honorees were local Plainview-Old Bethpage’s Central Park residents Jessica Gleicher and Tracy Gorman, who were recognized for their adult volunteer service with the Girl Scouts. Both women received the GSUSA appreciation pin, which commemorates their service in support of delivering the Girl Scout leadership experience and memorable impact in at least one community where scouting is offered.

Gleicher has been a dedicated Central Park Troop Leader as well as cookie and fall products troop manager for many years. In addition, Gleicher took the next step up in her service to Girl Scouts three years ago, when she assumed the role of the Central Park Association cookie co-chair.

Gorman has been a troop leader for eight years and has also served as Central Park’s Cookie Chair for the past three years. Gorman has taken on some responsibilities running the leadership meetings since the association does not have a co-chairs to association volunteers. She has also had an active role on the service team and is responsible for the trip applications.
