An 80-year-old woman was fatally hit by a truck in the victim’s hometown of Lynbrook on Monday morning.
Nassau County police said Stephanie O’Neill was walking behind a Ford box truck that was backing up on Daley Place when she was struck shortly before noon.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Detectives performed a brake test at the scene and found no criminality involved in the accident.
