KTUphoria will kick off the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater summer concert series Saturday with a star-studded cast of performers ranging from ‘90s boy band Backstreet Boys to headliner Miley Cyrus.

Thrown by Top 40 radio station WKTU, the concert will also include performances by Jason Derulo, Starley, Craig David, Daya, Shaggy, Nicky Jam and Fifth Harmony. There will also be special appearances by 103.5 FM on-air personalities Paul “Cubby” Bryant and Carolina Bermudez, of Cubby & Carolina In The Morning.

Performances will bring fans the latest hits as well as giving them a feeling of nostalgia. Some will do both, such as the Backstreet Boys, who became the best-selling boy band in history after their ’97 breakout hit “Quit Playing Games.” They also plan to release a new album this summer and may tease fans with a forthcoming track.

The lineup of “throwback” artists does not stop there. Craig David is a quadruple threat, with
talents as a singer, songwriter, rapper and record producer. His rise to fame came in ‘99 when he was featured on “Re-Rewind” by Artful Dodger before he released his debut album, Born To Do It, a year later.

Also bringing some ‘90s hits to the stage is Shaggy, a Jamaican-American reggae fusion
artist. Shaggy’s rise to fame began in ‘93 with his first hit “Oh Carolina.” He continued on to
make 12 albums, and it most known for his hit singles “It Wasn’t Me” and “Angel.”

WKTU also packed the show with some rising artists. Born and raised in Sydney, Australia,
Starley Hope is an upcoming singer and songwriter to look out for. She first appeared on Odd
Mob’s single “Into You” last year after signing with Tinted Records. Her latest single “Call on Me” was released in July.

Nicky Jam is also an artist who is up and coming. After moving to Puerto Rico at the age of 10, Nicky Jam recorded his first album, …Distinto A Los Demás, four years later. In
2000, he started an unofficial duo with Daddy Yankee called Los Cangris, and a year later went solo once again with his second album Haciendo Escante. Nicky Jam’s newest album, Fenix, was released in January.

Singer Daya will be performing along with several other female artists and groups. An American singer and songwriter from Pittsburgh, Daya got her claim to fame with
her hit single “Hide Away” off her self-titled debut EP. Her debut album, Sit Still, Look Pretty, dropped last year.

Joining the list of powerful women hitting the stage is Fifth Harmony, an all-female pop group
formed in 2012 through The X Factor. Fifth Harmony, whose album, Reflection, debuted at No. 5 on Billboard Top 200, released their latest single, “Down,” featuring rapper Gucci Mane, the day before the concert.

KTUphoria will close with an intimate set by pop singer Miley Cyrus. The songstress kicked off
her career as an actress starring in the Disney show Hannah Montana. She has since released five albums, and after a recent two-year hiatus, Cyrus is back with her newest single, “Malibu,” which was released this year.

KTUphoria is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday. The concert will be held at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater, which is located at Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh. Tickets range in price from $25 to $125. For more information visit ktu.iheart.com
