According to the Pew Institute, about 30 percent of adults ages 60 or older do not know how to use technological devices.
To help Long Island seniors develop these important skills and overcome their fear of technology when using an iPhone or iPad, Genser Dubow Genser & Cona (GDGC), elder law firm, and EAC Network, a social service agency on Long Island that helps people in need, will host a free “Senior Tech of Long Island” program.
It will be held on Thursday, July 27, from 4 – 5 p.m. at GDGC’s offices: 225 Broad Hollow Road, Suite 200, Melville, NY. The program is limited to 10 participants.
Attendees must bring their own iPhone and/or iPad so they can learn how to perform such functions as sending messages, video calling and browsing the internet. The small class size will ensure individual and personalized attention while making learning fun.
