Karens Hope

Karens HopeNassau County Executive Ed Mangano recently joined with New York State Senator John Brooks to celebrate the grand opening of the Karen’s Hope Home for adults with special needs in Seaford. HOME funds, provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and administered by the Nassau County Office of Community Development, were used to renovate an existing single-family home and modify it to accommodate the needs of three developmentally disabled adults.

“Congratulations to Karen Siler and everyone at the Karen’s Hope organization for everything they have done to make today’s grand opening possible,” said County Executive Mangano. “You are sure to serve as an example to your community, and I wish you luck in continuing your fight to bring housing and other services to the disabled community. I thank HUD and the Office of Community Development for their partnership in helping to provide County residents with improved, suitable, safe, clean and affordable housing for our residents most in need.”
