County A2Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano joined members of the Life’s WORC Family Center for Autism in Garden City to unveil a plaque in recognition of Autism Awareness, outside of the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building in Mineola, on Wednesday, Aug. 30. The Life’s WORC Center offers a multitude of services for children and adults on the autism spectrum, and also provides a lifeline of support for their families. This plaque was installed in conjunction with a tree that Life’s WORC planted outside the Theodore Roosevelt Building in April of 2017, in honor of Autism Awareness Month.

“I am honored to partner with the Life’s WORC Family Center for Autism to unveil this plaque in recognition of Autism Awareness,” said County Executive Mangano. “I want to thank Life’s WORC for everything they do to help children and adults on the autism spectrum. Together, we can help individuals and families affected by autism by spreading information and promoting awareness.”
