Volleyball, Soccer, Tennis And Swimming Matchups

Girls Varsity Volleyball played Hewlett last week. These two teams are at the top of their divisions, but Great Neck North came out with the win, with a score of 3-2. Great Neck displayed excellent teamwork, including an amazing performance by freshman Julia Zalta.

The Great Neck North Middle School Soccer team played Wheatley last Friday. The North team won with a score of 3-1. Brilliant goals came from the foot of Addison, who played spectacularly. One of Addison’s goals consisted of stealing the ball at the opposing team’s penalty box and dribbling all the way up the field to score. Fancy footwork and excellence was shown by Jaren, Jason and Dylan to finish with a win for the team’s final game. The record at the end of the season was 4-4-1.

This past week, Great Neck North Middle School Girls Tennis team played the always-tough Roslyn team. With amazing tennis played by Alana Shapiro, Eva and Lyla Munter, Great Neck won and maintained its perfect undefeated season.

Last Monday, Zoe Lee won the division meet and is now ranked number one in Nassau County for the Great Neck North Girls Swimming team. Sarah Tsai and Lee also qualified for States.
