The Manhasset Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the newly expanded Plandome Service Center located at 540 Plandome Rd. The business has expanded from its original Getty gas station and garage next door at the corner of Plandome Road and Vanderbilt Avenue and now has taken over the space that was formerly MBA Auto Repair.

Copresidents Stephanie Solomon and T.J. Costello, Vice president Elizabeth Johnson, former president C. J. Coleman, along with Manhasset Chamber members Nancy Morris, Robbie Donno and Diane Harragan, joined Peter Fitzpatrick and his staff Sal Partinico, Chris Markou, Andrew Lee, and Carlos Hernandez for the special ribbon cutting ceremony. Fitzpatrick and his brother Kevin have worked together for 21 years at their original Manhasset location. The space has been totally renovated with new windows, a gleaming interior with state of the art technology and tools, and a floor so clean that it sparkles.

The service center offers car and truck care, inspections and emission, alignment, breakers, tires and a bevy of automotive services diagnosed by certified expert auto service and repair technicians. The experts use high-tech diagnostic equipment to guarantee your vehicle is repaired and serviced correctly. Members of the chamber were impressed at the renovated interior.

Plandome Service Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. The shop is closed Saturday and Sunday. For more information, visit www.plandomeservice.com.
