While Farmingdale Village has transformed over the years, it has become a transit-oriented downtown and a model for other towns looking to redevelop and prosper. We are thrilled with the evolution of the village and are only about 45 minutes from Manhattan. According to the MTA, more than 4,000 commuters take the train via the Farmingdale LIRR station daily, a great transportation option in the community.
With a thriving downtown, people are constantly on the move and more than likely need to grab a cup of coffee. We have no shortage of merchants with a variety of coffee. Come see what’s new and grab a cup downtown. Recent downtown additions to enjoy some java include: Flux Coffee, Our Neighborhood Deli, Charlotte’s and Starbucks at the Farmingdale Long Island Railroad Station.
Other spots to enjoy coffee include Stuff-A-Bagel, The Bagel Hut, two 7-11’s, McDonald’s (the “McCafe”) and Dunkin Donuts. Many even serve craft and special flavored coffees. Of course, many of the restaurants offer brunch on the weekends, coffee, tea and dessert as well.
Also; certain spots have free Wi-Fi, so bring your laptop, read the news online, take care of some business, etc. And certain spots even have occasional live music and other light entertainment. It’s also a great way to socialize and meet people.
As the saying goes, “Good coffee is like friendship: rich, and warm and strong. Good to the last drop.”
Stay tuned for more updates and we hope to see you downtown.
