Kathy Liu, age 66, of Manhasset, died on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018 at her residence. She died of complications related to Lewy Body dementia. Born on Feb. 7,1952 in Forest Hills, NY, and grew up in Roslyn. She was the daughter of Chin Po Liu and Diana Kung Liu, who predeceased her. She is survived by her husband, John Lockhart Borden, of the residence, and by her daughters Lynna Anne Liu Borden of Brooklyn, NY and Alexandra Kelley Borden of Austin, TX. She is survived as well by a sister, Lynna Liu Donohue, of Lafayette, NY (Bruce), a nephew, Brian Donohue (Katie), of Evanston, IL and a niece Kellie Donohue of Los Angeles, CA. As well as her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Irwin Kung Liu. Kathy was a graduate of Syracuse University and received a Masters degree from Columbia University. In her career, she was in human resources, specializing in expatriate compensation at Manufacturers Hanover, Avon Products, and Goldman Sachs. She later had various consulting positions in her field.
A memorial wake will be held on Saturday, March 3, from 1-3 p.m. at Fairchild Funeral Chapel,1570 Northern Blvd., Manhasset.
