I have personally known Scott Strauss for almost my entire life. In addition to growing up with Scott, I have worked alongside him in the Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps, the New York City Police Department and in my current role at a major healthcare system here on Long Island. His reputation at each and every agency is impeccable. He is looked upon as a leader and a person of the highest integrity. His sense of duty to his responsibilities are second to none. I proudly support him in his re-election for Mayor of Mineola.
During his tenure as the Mayor of Mineola, he has steered the village through new development projects, allowing smart growth to help insure and maintain a stable tax base. He has also overseen the re-development of Mineola Memorial Park into a wonderful “jewel” for the enjoyment of the residents of Mineola. If the enthusiasm and attendance at the last few summer concert series are any indication, we will be enjoying this wonderful park for years to come.
Scott along with trustees Walsh and Durham have kept the village finances “on track” and have reduced debt while maintaining essential services. In a time where it seems a different municipality emerges everyday as being in fiscal distress, it is comforting knowing Mineola’s financial standing is excellent.
I respectfully encourage my fellow residents to re-elect Mayor Scott Strauss and trustees Walsh and Durham on Election Day March 20th.
