Since we have access to such great outdoor amenities, how about taking a trip into the city on a warm spring day? Stroll along Chelsea Piers, take in a view of the Hudson or explore Central Park and work up an appetite. Visit these hotshots for a deliciously fresh salad that is sure to pack a punch and fill you up for lunch.

Do some shopping and then pop into executive chef Mark Strausman’s upscale eatery. Offering up a Montauk Deconstructed Fish Taco Salad with chopped Gotham greens with pickled red cabbage, corn, black beans, avocado and homemade corn chips, tossed with cilantro lime dressing and topped with spiced local white fish and crema, it’s the perfect California meets Mexican salad you’re looking for.

Another healthy choice is the Down-town Vegan Salad, which combines heirloom dried cranberries, beans, cubed apples, garbanzos and black quinoa with brunoise of carrot, celery, onion and raw massaged kale.
