The Mothers’ Group of Manhasset (MGM) held its annual egg hunt on the beautiful grounds of the Strathmore Vanderbilt Country Club recently. The event was organized by co-chairs, Claire Leiser and Andriana McMahon. President Dana Forbes and Vice President Jaclyn Martini wished to extend their thanks to the event chairs for their hard work and creative ideas.
“This year’s egg hunt was a tremendous success with over 200 attendees,” said Forbes.
“It was wonderful to see the children with a basket of eggs and a smile on their face,” said Martini.
Claire Leiser added, “Despite a foot of snow a few days before the egg hunt, the event was great. Strathmore Vanderbilt Country Club was wonderfully accommodating, ensuring their patios and nearby grounds were ready for the Easter eggs. The children enjoyed decorating their own egg baskets, singing and dancing to music, meeting the Easter bunny, and of course, collecting eggs.” McMahon wished to thank all those that attended as well as the volunteers who created a fun-filled morning for kids and adults alike.
“The children made certain to find every last of the 3,000 filled eggs,” said McMahon.
All are welcome to join the MGM and participate in exciting events including the upcoming couples’ event, which will be held in May, and the annual children’s ice cream social, which will be held in June. The MGM is a member-based organization that holds a number of regular events throughout the year.
