The Church of Our Saviour, Lutheran in Manhasset hosted a sold-out fundraising event with the theme of New York, NY for 140 members and guests. The auditorium was transformed into an elegant restaurant with murals of the city skyline and many sparkling lights decorating the windows and walls. Dinner of filet mignon, poached salmon and vegetables were prepared by members and followed by homemade miniature desserts. The various entertainments during the evening were accompanied by DJ music for dancing, a roving magician, a NYC trivia contest, a dart board game for a poker hand and an artist for character pictures of guests. The proceeds from the event will be donated in part to the NY/Presbyterian Transplant initiative and toward supporting the ongoing mission of the church.
