Countdown To Excitement At The SCA Fair

SCAFair 042518B webThe 67th annual Manhasset SCA Fair will be held on Saturday, May 5, at the Munsey Park Elementary School field. Co-chaired by Claudine Fini and Annie Yeung, the 2018 SCA Fair will offer an array of exciting attractions. Families can enjoy carnival games and rides for all ages. Challenge your skills on the rock-climbing wall, the Iron Man, baseball pitch and the ever-popular pie-throw.

SCAFrontPage 768x1024 1New this year is the Bubble Soccer attraction. Children 8-years and up can compete in a high-energy, full-contact, bouncing game of bubble soccer. For those who have never seen or heard of the latest rage in sports, each player wears a plastic orb that covers from thighs to head. As in traditional soccer, the object is to score a goal. While that might be fun, the real fun comes when bubble athletes collide, fall to ground, legs flailing in a search for stability and rolling around. And everyone is unharmed because all who play are safely encased in a bubble. Bubble soccer is being brought to the fair by GameTruck Long Island.

Enjoy the tasty offerings at the food court, including the extended menu selection at the Greek booth, delicious dumplings and assorted bakery items. There will be grilled options including hot dogs donated by King Kullen and fresh pizza.

Shop under the big tent with vendors offering a variety of new merchandise, as well as tables with oldies but goodies from Attic Treasures, books, sports, garden and toys.
