Magnificent Production: Students Perform Singin’ In The Rain

Theatergoers were wowed by the amazing performances held on May 11 and 12, as Manhasset Middle School presented Singin’ In the Rain Jr. to a packed auditorium. Under the direction of Manhasset High School graduate Victoria DiCarlo, the seventh and eighth grade cast sang, danced, and performed their hearts out to one of Broadway’s most beloved musicals.

“Blown away by Manhasset Middle School’s production of Singin’ in the Rain,” commented Manhasset resident Christine Roberts. “Lots of love and congrats to Victoria DiCarlo, director, choreographer, set designer extraordinaire who knows how to stage an age and talent appropriate show!”

The play was a hit with the snappy dialogue, hilarious situations and a hit-parade score which made a good time for the middle school performers and the audience. The play was a splashy adaption of the world’s most celebrated movie musical Singin’ In The Rain, made famous by Gene Kelly.

“And to all those wonderful kids: you were absolutely fantastic! Keep tapping,” said Roberts.
