Always the place of the stars, nuBest Salon was the scene of the latest Women for Singas get together on Monday, May 21.The crowd of more than 100 women of all ages came together regardless of party affiliation to support the endeavors of justice driven Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas. The evening was a delightful mix of beauty, networking and fundraising for the DA. Women of all ages learned beauty tips and enjoyed services that are integral to the nuBest cadre of services.
Singas addressed the crowd speaking about her surprise at the most recent assignment from New York State Governor Cuomo to prosecute Eric Schneiderman, the former New York State Attorney General. She talked at length about the wonderful work being done in the Freeport facility with patients suffering from opiod addiction and the battle against the opiod epidemic.
In attendance were Nassau County Executive Laura Curran and Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth. The next event for Women For Singas will occur this summer in Sands Point.
