The teachers and staff at Munsey Park and Shelter Rock Elementary Schools were each treated to a Staff Appreciation Luncheon organized by the Manhasset SCA on May 16. This annual luncheon is a way of thanking the outstanding teachers and staff for helping children all year long, and is funded entirely by parent donations.
Jodi DiTore and Christine Schwartz co-chaired the Farmer’s Market-themed luncheon at Munsey Park, transforming a rainy day into a festive springtime picnic of market fresh foods and desserts. It even included a refreshing Ralph’s Italian Ice Cart.
Shelter Rock’s “You Help Us Bloom” luncheon, co-chaired by Robin Camera and Danielle Carroll, surrounded good company with beautiful flowers and a delicious assortment of food. It also featured “A Cherry on Top” sundae bar in honor of Mr. Geczik’s retirement.
Both schools treated faculty to an amazing and abundant assortment of favors and raffle prizes. Shelter Rock’s raffles were chaired by Lisa Leadbetter. It was a day blooming with gratitude.
