roscoe
Roscoe

Available for adoption at Little Shelter:

This handsome gentleman goes by the name Roscoe. He is a 12-year-old Chihuahua mix who is brimming with personality and charm! Clever and confident, he would be a worthy opponent for either a game of chess or Words with Friends. In addition to indoor activities, he also enjoys going for walks and excels at miniature golf. Small-in-size but big-on-fun, Roscoe is ready to become part of your family today!

washington 1
Washington

Washington is a gentle older boy who likes to quietly follow people around the cattery and wait for them to pet him. He rarely meows, but purrs loudly when getting affection. Washington gets along with other cats and can be found curled up with a buddy during his afternoon catnaps. While he does have a laid-back demeanor, he also still has spunk and loves to pounce and chase kitty dancers, string, catnip mice and other toys.

For more information about adopting Roscoe and Washington, contact Little Animal Rescue & Adoption Center at 33 Warner Rd., Huntington, 631-368-8770.

Halley
Halley

Available for adoption at the Town of Huntington Cat Shelter:

Halley loves to play with strings and chase laser pointers. She is a gentle cat who will sit with you all day and just let you pet her. She enjoys getting treats of turkey and gets along well with other cats making her a great addition to any multi-cat household. She’s super fun to have around as she has a silly nature to her that keeps staff laughing. If you are looking for a new best friend, Halley is clearly your gal!

Mister Thirsty
Mister Thirsty

Mister Thirsty is an awesome cat with, let’s admit it, a very awesome name! Mister Thirsty is known to follow humans around and is described as a very charming boy. He definitely prefers to be the only cat because he just can’t stand the thought of sharing. He wants his humans (and his treats) all to himself! Take home this little guy and you’ll be sure to fall in immediate love!

For more information about adopting Halley and Mister Thirsty, please contact the Town of Huntington Cat Shelter located at 104 Deposit Rd, East Northport, NY 11731, 631-651-9788. Call for more information on adopting these cuties today!

Anastasia
Anastasia

Available for adoption at North Shore Animal League America in Port Washington:

How is it that beautiful Anastasia (reference #R163169) hasn’t been swept off her paws and delivered to her castle?! This quiet, gentle stunner is cautious at first when making new friends, and fearful of her feline companions at the shelter, but given a little encouragement, she quickly discovers humans are just there to pamper her.

Anastasia arrived from an overcrowded municipal shelter with a neurological defect which affects her front paw, but she has learned to completely compensate for this and whimsically hops around during her play time in the most endearing way. When called, she hobbles over to receive ample ear rubs before tucking herself in for a well-deserved nap. If you have a quiet home with no pets and children 6+ who would love to shower her with their compassionate hearts, please introduce yourself to the fairest of them all!

Finn and Flossie
Finn and Flossie

Why not double the fun with Finn and Flossie (reference #BF1982/84)! Finn and Flossie are a bonded pair of older kittens who have spent a good part of their lives waiting patiently to be discovered by the right family.  These mini house panthers were rescued locally as babies and given a great chance to be adored by loving humans. Shy at first, they have now moved to the head of their class and are eager to greet you in North Shore’s cage free Habitat.

Flossie loves to roll around in cat nip and silver vine while Finn eagerly awaits his turn for treats and playtime. This fun duo is sure to add entertainment to their home with their playful energy, but snuggle time is when you get to see how much they mean to each other. Please consider completing Finn and Flossie’s journey to adoption by making your home there’s!

Blaire
Blaire

Available for adoption at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter:

At 6 ½ years old, Blaire has been waiting way too long for her forever home, and volunteers and staff are hoping and praying that her forever family finds her soon. Thankfully a foster home recently opened up and now Blaire is able to get the attention she needs to thrive. As per her foster: Blaire is house trained, crate trained and walks well on a harness.

She is also very sweet and affectionate with her person. Blaire is the perfect combination of couch potato and “mini-athlete”! Blaire loves to run around in the yard, but also is quite mellow inside. Blaire loves treats, loves attention, and loves to watch tv! Blaire does need a solo pet home, and a savvy owner who can help her get used to new people. If you want to meet Blaire, please contact the shelter right away to set up a meet and greet at 516-785-5220 or email [email protected]

As always, thanks for reading and please remember to always adopt, never shop…pass it on!
