Find your inner artist this summer at the Long Island High School for the Art’s Summer Arts Academy. Middle school and high school students are invited to explore their passion for the arts with fun and focus this summer at Long Island High School for the Art’s Summer Arts Academy. Students select their area of focus in Music, Dance, Theater, Fine Art, Digital Media, Special Effects or Film Making and study with LIHSA’s talented faculty.
The Summer Arts Academy is a four-week program that runs from Monday, July 2, through Friday, July 27, and new for this year, families can choose to send their students for one, two, three or four weeks. Camp hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and also new for this year: extended care in both the morning (7 to 9 a.m.) and afternoon (3 to 5 p.m.).
The middle school program is open to students entering sixth through eighth grade in the 2018-19 academic year, and the high school program is open to students entering ninth through twelfth grade in the 2018-19 academic year.
New this year there will be field trips and theme weeks for middle school students and a high school credit option for high school students.
