The park will close for the 2018 season on Monday, Oct. 29
The Long Island Game Farm – Wildlife Park and Children’s Zoo will be going into hibernation starting Monday, Oct. 29, but the animals aren’t going anywhere just yet. The park will be open every weekend in October, with a “Boo at the Zoo” Party for children every Sunday in the Discovery Center.
On Oct. 14, 21 and 28 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., the park invites kids to throw on their costume and join staff members and other visitors in the Discovery Center for animal encounters, cupcake candy crafts and more! “Boo at the Zoo” is free with admission.
The Game Farm will be open on the following days:
- Saturday, Oct. 13 and Sunday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 20 and Sunday, Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 27 and Sunday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Fall admission prices to the park will be $14 (+tax) per adult, senior or military personnel and $16.95 (+tax) per child. Guests are encouraged to visit the Long Island Game Farm’s Facebook page to download the coupons for the fall season.
Also available for the 2018-2019 ‘off season’, the park will be offering a Mobile Zoo featuring Suzie, the Wallaby, Barney, the Prairie Dog, Gabriella, the Giant Flemish Rabbit, Speedy, the Sulcata Tortoise and more of the Game Farm’s loving animals. Guests can reserve the Mobile Zoo, for any event, on the Game Farm’s website.
The Zoo will reopen in Spring 2019, but it’s never too late to reserve your date for next year’s field trips, company outings and birthday parties. Please call the group admissions department at 631-878-6670 or email the Long Island Game Farm at info@longislandgamefarm.com.
