Old Westbury Gardens is pleased to announce the return of the Holiday Market on Saturday, Nov. 24 and Sunday, Nov. 25. The expanded Holiday Market will be situated at the Barn at Orchard Hill and Orchard Hill House, providing the perfect backdrop to spur the holiday spirit, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. With approximately sixty vendors featuring artisanal boutiques and exquisite gifts, there is no better or more unique way to get holiday shopping done.
“We look forward to this spectacular time of year at Old Westbury Gardens! I encourage visitors to bring your family and friends and stop by our special Holiday Market,” said Nancy Costopulos, president and CEO of Old Westbury Gardens. “After completing some holiday shopping, I urge you to stop by Westbury House, which is elegantly transformed to bring holiday magic to life this time of year!”
While the Holiday Market is one weekend only, Christmas at Westbury House will be featured every Friday through Sunday from Saturday, Nov. 24 through Sunday, Dec. 23. Each weekend will feature special attractions, from musical performances to a Prohibition Party at Westbury House (with registration and additional fee). Period rooms at Westbury House will also be decorated, and have a special guest, Santa, along with cookies and cider for guests to enjoy. Children are invited to drop by on Saturday’s to create a keepsake holiday craft or to create a card on Sundays, both events from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“Our holiday events are a must for the entire family!” added Costopulos. “Our horticulture staff works tirelessly to elegantly decorate each historic room of the house with Christmas trees, wreaths, mantelpiece arrangements, topiaries and plants. Antique train sets from the pre-war era, including the 1930s to early 1940s, will be displayed provided by Nassau Lionel Operating Engineers from Levittown members, taking us back in time!”
General admission is $12; senior admission is $10; children’s admission for ages 7-17 is $7; and children six and under, and Old Westbury Gardens members, are free. For more information about the Old Westbury Gardens and upcoming events, visit www.oldwestburygardens.org.
