Passes Dental Care at 415 Northern Blvd. found a fun and inspiring way to celebrate National Children’s Dental Health Month this February.

For the second year in a row, the group, which has been working with residents for more than 40 years, wanted to give back to the community, so it teamed up with the Head Start Program in Manhasset to provide a free day of dentistry.

The day wasn’t just about giving smiles to the  young patients and their families, it was about educating them and getting involved. Dr. Harvey Passes helped the children relax as he entertained them using a Donald Duck voice to distract them as they sat in the dental chair.

“This is really cool,” said one child about the visit.

“This is the best thing that has ever happened,” said another.

Between dancing in the waiting room with staff to “Baby Shark” and being educated on oral health, the children left the office with a memorable experience.

“We look forward to working with you again in the future—it’s always a pleasure,” said the Passes Dental Care team to the Head Start Program participants and their families. “We’re happy to continue getting feedback that the kids are enjoying brushing their teeth.”
