Jerry Parisi, star of the new TV series Ebenezer the Traveler™, paid a visit Sunday evening to his old town of East Northport to visit the Inner Spirit Yoga Center Book Club’s monthly meeting.

He joined in the lively discussion of Charles Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol. Book lovers at Inner Spirit have been meeting monthly on the first Sunday of every month at 7 p.m. at the yoga center to discuss their experiences and views of a wide variety of great works of fiction and non-fiction for more than seven years.

Ebenezer’s visit came about after one book club member, Kevin Kearon, an East Northport resident and criminal defense attorney, reached out to Jerry Parisi, who has played the iconic Scrooge dozens of time on TV, stage and in local theaters throughout the United States, to advise him that the book club would be reading Dickens and discussing one of his favorite characters of all time.

“We’ve read and discussed 87 books in 87 months and finally got around to Dickens,” said Kearon.

Parisi presented Kearon and the book club a gift of three new books under the Ebenezer The Traveler™ brand, which is available on Amazon and The Huntington Book Revue. The three different books in the series chronicling the new adventures of Ebenezer Scrooge as possible subjects of future book club discussions.

Said the members of the club, “We loved Mr. Scrooge’s visit and wish him the best in his many future travels.”

The TV series is in preproduction and if all goes well it will shot on Long Island.
