The Long Island Press’ sister publication the Queens Courier and its online home QNS.com is a go-to destination for the top local news coverage in Queens.

The borough’s premier weekly news and lifestyle publication was founded in 1985, when it published its first edition of the Queens Courier. In 2015, the Courier launched QNS.com, the premiere news website of the borough powered by the journalists at the award-winning Courier, TimesLedger, Ridgewood Times newspapers, as well as BORO and LIC Magazines.

Recent examples of its award-winning news, business, health, and entertainment coverage includes stories about the upcoming special election for Queens Borough President, feature stories of acts of kindness from throughout the borough, and a series of stories on the proposed Queens bus redesign

The Courier is owned by Bayside-based Schneps Media, one of the largest local news chains in New York State with more than 70 newspapers and websites across Long Island, New York City, and Westchester. Besides the Long Island Press, sister publications include amNew York Metro, The Brooklyn Paper, The Bronx Times, and many more.

While the Courier’s print edition is weekly, its website, QNS.com has daily updates on the borough’s biggest news and entertainment happenings. Among its many offerings are regular roundups of upcoming local events, new restaurant openings, breaking news and crime stories, as well as human interest and business features.

It also regularly hosts events such as its annual Power Women event in April, which celebrates the borough’s women who lead by example in their chosen fields and communities.

The Presswill be publishing a Courier story each day this week. We invite our readers to check out the Courier, like it on Facebook, follow it on Twitter and Instagram, and subscribe to its daily email newsletters.
