Bringing Names To Life At Dutch Lane

Students in grades three through five at Dutch Lane Elementary School in Hicksville recently had the opportunity to show off their creativity and coding skills, all while making a name for themselves.

Under the direction of teachers Mary Masterson and Barnett Weinstein and Nassau BOCES technology professional developer Tim Gill,  students had an opportunity to create a computer animation of their name using Scratch coding. They worked under the Google CS First program “Animate a Name.”
