Pickles are an essential topping that pairs well with most food options, whether you’re having it with a sandwich, burger, potato salad, or even by itself. But where on Long Island is the best pickle place around?

Long Islanders voted The Pickle People the Best Pickle on Long Island in the 2020 Bethpage Best of Long Island contest!

The Pickle People have been in the pickle business for more than 40 years. Many remember their start inside Shoppers Village in 1980. They remain still today in West Hempstead, and are inside the Western Beef supermarket at 611 Woodfield Rd.

In addition to the shop which is open year round, they also attend street fairs and festivals across Long Island from April thru November. Some of their renowned recipes include Cajun, Full Sour, New Green, Atomic Hot & Spicy, Bread & Butter, Sweet Ginger, Horseradish, Hot-Shots, and Mustard pickles just to name a few.

The company also offers Sauerkraut, Sweet Peppers, Pickled Tomatoes, and Onions. Pickle fans can also purchase tart & tangy naturally fermented pickle brine by the quart. All products are under Kashrut Supervision, Kosher and Pareve.
