Farmingdale School District Welcomes Duo To The Administration

Farmingdale High School logo.WebFarmingdale School District recently announced the appointment of two new administrators to its administrative team, Gina Callesano and Greg Warnokowski. Callesano will be the district’s new chairperson for preschool/primary special education while Warnokowski will take over as the district’s director of fine arts. Each is bringing decades of experience to the district.

“I feel honored to have been given the opportunity to work with the students and families in Farmingdale,” Callesano said. “It is a privilege to be part of such an outstanding community that consistently demonstrates its commitment to education. I am very excited to achieve great things as we move forward together.”

Callesano has more than 20 years of experience in the education field. Immediately prior to accepting this new position, she worked in the West Hempstead School District as the assistant director for pupil personnel services K-12. Callesano’s previous professional experience also includes 18 years in the Farmingdale School District, during which time she served as a special education teacher for the Life Skills Program and as a social studies teacher.

Warnokowski comes to the Farmingdale School District with 30 years’ experience in the field of music and arts. Prior to accepting his new position with Farmingdale, Warnokowski held several high-level positions with the Nassau Music Educators Association. From 2004 to 2007, Warnokowski served as the association’s president and prior to that as vice president.
“I am so honored to be joining the Farmingdale School District and have the opportunity to work with this district’s exceptional music and fine arts department,” he said. “I grew up in Farmingdale and was musically trained in this incredible program which led me to become a professional musician and educator for the past 30 years. I truly look forward to giving back to this community by providing music and arts leadership to our talented staff and students. My career has come full circle, and I am back home and excited to be a Daler once again.”
