Long Island Ducks Stadium Gets New Name

Ninth Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night at Ducks Stadium

Long Island Ducks stadium in Central Islip will soon change names from Bethpage Ballpark to Fairfield Properties Ballpark now that a new title sponsor is taking over the naming rights.

The stadium is currently named for Bethpage Federal Credit Union. Melville-based real estate firm Fairfield Properties will assume the new name on Jan. 1, 2021.

“Fairfield Properties is an iconic Long Island company whose footprint encompasses the entirety of Long Island much like our Long Island Ducks,” said Frank Boulton, the founding CEO of the Ducks.

The transition comes as NYCB dropped its title sponsorship for the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale following a change of tenants sparked by the lack of arena entertainment due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Ducks, the defending 2019 Atlantic League champions, are not playing this season due to COVID-19 restrictions. The 6,002-seat stadium opened on April 28, 2000 and has seen more than 8 million fans pass through its gates.

The naming rights are part of a $4.4 million 10-year deal and includes a five-year renewal option for an additional $2.5 million.

“We are happy to make this investment in Long Island and look forward to being part of the many great family memories at Fairfield Properties Ballpark,” said Gary Broxmeyer and Michael Broxmeyer of Fairfield Properties.
