These Senior Pets for Adoption Will Be Grateful for a New Home

In observance of “National Adopt-a-Senior Pet Month,” we’d like to remind potential adopters of the benefits of adopting older pets; they are likely already trained, calmer, require less supervision than their younger counterparts and always seem to show a tremendous amount of gratitude towards their later-in-life adopters. So don’t wait, call your local rescue or shelter to inquire about your new best friend today!

Betty

**Senior Alert** Betty is an approximately 9-year-old Pittie Mix, found wandering around a local train station and brought to the Animal Shelter by a good samaritan. This sweet girl is the ideal therapy dog! Her eyes say it all, she oozes love and adoration for every new person she meets. From the first introduction, she is instantly attached. Betty Boop is very laid-back, great on a leash and a stage five clinger on the couch. Betty Boop would do well in a home without children, and she deserves to be the only pet in the family. This lovely lady needs a home that is experienced with her breed and can provide her with a little bit of extra care and attention to help manage her arthritis issues.

If you are interested in adopting Betty, please call 631-360-7575 today for more information.

Blue
Blue

Meet Blue. This 4-year-old gentleman is a rather quiet fella who happens to be house and crate trained, loves walks and even walks nicely on a leash. Blue also knows a ton of commands like sit, down, come and paw.  Blue takes some time to get comfortable with new people and would do best in a 1 or 2 adult person home with possibly 1 dog just about his size.

Please take the time to meet Blue. He is a sweet dog who very much deserves a loving home to call his own. For more information, please contact the shelters placement team at 516-785-5220, [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected].

As always, thanks for reading and please remember to always adopt, never shop…pass it on!
