Allison Fasano, chef at Salted. on the Harbor in Northport, is the first champion of Food Network’s Supermarket Stakeout Season 3, a battle between chefs with a twist.

The Brooklyn native won the food battle against three other chefs and claimed the $10,000 prize on the hour-long premiere that aired on Dec. 29.

“I’m just so beyond proud of myself that I was able to take home a win,” Fasano said on the show. “I think I won because I just cooked from my heart.”

In Supermarket Stakeout, hosted by Alex Guarnaschelli, four chefs make dishes based on a theme. Judges Eddie Jackson, a food truck owner and restaurateur, and Stephanie Boswell, a pastry chef, then vote out a contestant in each of the three rounds until one winner remains.

The catch? The chefs are cooking in a parking lot and need to use ingredients that they buy from shoppers leaving a supermarket. They have a total of $500 to bribe shoppers to trade groceries for cash throughout all three rounds. Then, contestants get to cooking.

The Long Island chef made three dishes that the judges praised: a sky-high Breakfast Monte Cristo, a surf and turf, and Fonduta.

“I love just the confidence that her plate has,” Boswell said when the judges finally determined whether Fasano or fellow chef Jay Powell would be named winner and take home the cash prize.

Fasano has appeared on Food Network’s Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay in the past. This episode of Supermarket Stakeout, “Viva la Stakeout,”  is available to watch on foodnetwork.com. It will also air again on Food Network on Jan. 19.

The next episode of Supermarket Stakeout, featuring four new chefs, airs tomorrow, Jan. 5, at 10 p.m. on Food Network.
