North Shore Art Guild Presents “ReAwakenings” at Port Jefferson Gallery
Visit the Port Jefferson Gallery at the Village Center now through Feb. 26 to view “ReAwakenings” presented by the North Shore Art Guild.
The name of the show is remodeled from the original show, “Awakenings,” which was
installed just two weeks before the pandemic shut down the area in March 2020. The show is a tribute to the courage, strength, and heart that artists and society must have to overcome and survive the toughest of situations and emerge yet stronger from the experience.
“ReAwakenings” features 59 pieces of art by 22 artists; the works are paintings in oils, acrylic, and watercolor, as well as photographs, drawings, and paper origami. The North Shore Art Guild is a non-profit group made up of local artists. Their Expressions Gallery in the lobby of the Holiday Inn Express at 3131 Nesconset Highway in Stony Brook showcases the work of the Guild with free shows all year. North Shore Art Guild donates 30 percent of all sales to the Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. For more information, visit northshoreartguild.org. Artists are welcome to join.
