Jimmy Hendricks
Jimmy Hendricks

Jimmy Hendricks is a very sweet and rather handsome 6-year-old guy! Jimmy was surrendered because his owner needed to move out of state and live with family.  He gets along well with other cats and loves to be around humans.

Stretch
Stretch

**Senior Alert** Stretch is a beautiful 11-year-old girl who adores being pet, loves giving head butts and is just all-around a sweet girl. She gets along great with other cats, kids, and humans.

For more information about adopting Jimmy or Stretch, contact Almost Home Animal Rescue at almosthomeli.org or call 631-627-3665.

Available for adoption at the Town of Smithtown Animal Shelter

Mia
Mia

Mia is a 3-year-old Labrador/Pit/Mastiff Mix who came to the shelter as a stray after being hit by a car. Fortunately, she sustained only minor injuries. Mia is equal parts goofy and affectionate! She loves to whip around her rope toys and chase after balls. Mia thinks she is a lap dog literally… and will crawl into your lap to shower you with kisses. In her previous life, Mia was a yard dog who wasn’t trained or given proper socialization. At first, she is protective of her space when it comes to strangers and will require a family who can properly introduce her to new people. However, once she meets a new friend, she loves them unconditionally. Mia would be best as the only pet in an adult-only home. If you are interested in meeting Mia, please call 631-360-7575 for more information today!

Available for adoption at All About Spay Neuter

KC
KC

**Senior Alert** KC is a stunning 10-year-old muted calico who joined All About Spay a few weeks ago. She has already won over the hearts of the volunteers with her loving personality in this short amount of time. She would be great for someone looking for a companion and best friend. If you are interested in her, please text Alicia at 516-984-4525

Available for adoption at North Shore Animal League America

Pebble
Pebble

When Pebble (Adoption #H210260) was offered a chance at a safe indoor life, she was frightened by the prospect. NSALA placed her in a quiet space where she could take all the time she needed to learn to trust humans. Time shared with like-minded feline friends introduced her to a whole new world of possibilities. This timid one-year-old survivor admired her more confident friends’ ability to frolic with the humans who care for them. Pebble feels most confident when she’s with other cats so we are seeking an experienced home with a cat who will ease her into her new life as a family member. Children 12 years old and up will show her the patience she deserves to ensure a successful transition. Pebble has proven to be a very devoted little spoon to her cat friends; if your cat would enjoy sharing tender moments with a gentle companion, Pebble is ready to join your home!

Alutia
Alutia

At first glance, Alutia (Adoption #G26629) seems unsure of her new surroundings. A reassuring blink will lead to a warm head butt between friends. Experienced cat owners will understand instinctively that this stunning one-year-old southern rescue craves freedom and space to fully embrace her home. Alutia is looking for a quiet, predictable household for our shy, long-haired friend. One with children 10 years and older will provide the comfort she needs to navigate the new experiences ahead. You’ll realize right away how worthwhile it is to give Alutia the tenderness she craves when she asks for it.

Sport
Sport

When 5-year-old Sport (Adoption #G26343)  was diagnosed with FLUTD, he lost his home, but found new friends to rely upon at North Shore Animal League America. Now that NSALA vets have put a great health plan into action, Sport’s already feeling a lot better physically.  His spirits have begun to rise as well as he receives lots of loving attention from his caring fans. After all the changes he’s been through recently, we’re not surprised to find Sport needing a little time to warm up to new situations, but we’re predicting this team player is going to be the MVP of his new family once he’s given the time he needs to settle into your home. If your household could use a gentle mascot, Sport is interested in signing with your family franchise!

Tabitha and Toby
Tabitha and Toby

**Double Adoption** Tabitha (Adoption #H208846) and Toby (Adoption #H208847) haven’t had the best luck finding a furever home, having lost two to tragedy. Despite their past difficulties, they are putting their best paws forward and helping each other settle into a cage-free room in Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center. These bonded five-year-old lovers are depending on each other to get through the transition.  More confident Tabitha makes friends very quickly with everyone she meets, while shyer Toby watches eagerly and welcomes approaching new friends with the hardiest of head butts. It doesn’t take much to commit your whole heart to this deserving pair, just a comforting hand and a car ride home!

Big
Big Tuxie

**Senior Alert** 10-year-old Big Tuxie (Adoption #L80567) was fast friends with his rescue hero who discovered his feeding colony in Brooklyn. Together, the pair opted to aim for a safer lifestyle indoors for Big Tuxie who was delivered to Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center with a heart open to new adventures and hoping for a permanent home.  This reformed lap cat is friends to humans and cats alike. His only souvenir from his difficult past is being FIV+, but we’re positive he’s a lover, not a fighter. Though he may seem a little shy as he settles into his new space, Big Tuxie just needs some gentle conversation to make him feel like he’s where he’s been meant to be all along — in the lap of his trusted best friend. Is that best friend you?

Mama Cass
Mama Cass

5-year-old Mama Cass (Adoption #WV0682) had been singing the blues since she lost her beloved owner recently. NSALA gave her a peaceful room in Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center where she can wait for her second chance, and they predict she’ll be changing her tune now that she has sunny windows to bask in front of once again.  Their devoted Medical Team has a successful medical plan in place for her seizure disorder (a covered medical condition through our Pet Health Centers in Port Washington.) This allows her future family less to worry about as they can focus all of their attention on this super soft and loving new friend. Mama Cass misses being someone’s loyal sidekick. She’s entertaining all worthy offers of a fresh start and anticipates sharing love song duets with you furever and ever in perfect harmony.

Autumn and Ebony
Autumn and Ebony

**Double Adoption** Autumn (Adoption #H209638) and Ebony (Adoption #H201525) have experienced so much upheaval in their lives but have each other to lean on throughout their experiences. Three-year-old Autumn is shy but adventurous, while her 10-year-old companion Ebony is content to watch from a comfy bed and wait for her best friend to return to her with news of the day. We’re hoping a home worthy of these loving ladies is coming their way soon, one with children (10 and above in age) who can give them the space and compassion they’d appreciate as they settle back into a home again. If you have a peaceful home and a commitment to loving this pair with all your heart, Autumn and Ebony would love to meet you.

Reach out to DoritS@animalleague.org for more about adopting any one of NSALA’s adorable adoptables!

Zena
Zena

Meet Zena – It’s so hard to follow Zena’s back story, but it seems as though her owner was evicted and left her behind, tied up to a tree with no food or water. Everyone is heartbroken for this sweet girl.  Zena is friendly with people, and is being recommended for a home with kids 15 and up. This 5-year-old baby is very petite, weighing in at 52 itty bitty pounds. She is house trained and knows “sit”, “down” and “touch”. Zena is looking for an active household as she is energetic and loves to play. Zena is recommended to go as a solo pet.

If you can open your heart and home to Zena, please call for more information at 516-785-5220 or email adoption@tohmail.org.

As always, thanks for reading and please remember to always adopt, never shop…pass it on!
