North Hempstead Celebrates Young Community Leaders

Town of North Hempstead Council Members Veronica Lurvey and Mariann Dalimonte, along with Town Clerk Wayne Wink, recently celebrated the achievements of students in North Hempstead by presenting Youth Leadership Awards.
The awards recognize those who have gone above and beyond in their local community by engaging in and organizing rallies, projects and other ways to work for a better future for the town’s residents.
Officials presented certificates of recognition to the students and thanked them for their actions.
“You are our future, and our future looks great,” Lurvey said, praising the student’s hard work.
