Hempstead Town Supervisor Don Clavin, Councilman Tom Muscarella and Town Clerk Kate Murray presented a Certificate of Recognition and Badge of Merit to Brian Chirel of Mineola for reaching the rank of Eagle Scout. The town’s Scout Recognition Ceremony was held on Aug. 12 at Norman J. Levy Park & Preserve in Merrick.
