Michael Draws of Seaford and Jonathan Graziosi of East Norwich were two of about 20 employees who donned masks and safety vests, grabbed gardening tools and rolled up their sleeves to do community service work last week. The group took to Veterans Memorial Pool & Park in East Meadow to rake, clean out debris, plant trees and shrubs and beautify an area of the park that is often enjoyed by military veterans. Participating in hands-on projects like this is important to PSEG Long Island employees because they live in the communities they serve.

Draws, a line clearance transmission supervisor for the company says he’s happy to be involved.

“I am proud and honored to help our veterans and am glad PSEG Long Island provides us with opportunities to support members of our military,” he said.

“I am volunteering because I have always enjoyed supporting our neighbors through community service,” Graziosi said. “Before the pandemic, PSEG Long Island provided many opportunities for us to do so. I’m glad to get back out again.”

PSEG Long Island is proud to count military veterans among its workforce. Its employees are dedicated to providing customers with safe, reliable power and also committed to the communities they serve by engaging in community service activities and raising funds to support and help their neighbors.
