Wilbur and Willow
Wilbur and Willow

**Double Adoption and Senior Alert** Wilbur and Willow were brought to the shelter as strays. These senior dogs were in rough shape but have made quite a bit of improvement. Both dogs have skin issues which have greatly improved, and Wilbur has the added issues of being very unsteady on his feet and it is hard for him to maintain his weight properly.  Wilbur physically could be near the end of his journey, staff and volunteers would love for them to have the opportunity to be in a home together with love. Wilbur and Willow love the other dogs they meet and they also both cat tested well at the shelter. That said, the can at times be protective of each other around other dogs. These guys are very social to all the people that they meet. At times they can be overzealous about taking treats from the hand and when they are dropped on the ground. For this reason, they are recommended in a home with older children. Full medical records can be provided for any potential adopter in order to consult with their own veterinarian.

If you can open your heart and home to this deserving pair, please call the shelter at 631-643-9270.

Apu and Manjula
Apu and Manjula

Apu and Manjula are an adorable pair of 8-month-old siblings. Apu is a Black Domestic Shorthair Male, while Manjula is a Brown Tabby Domestic Shorthair Female. Apu and Manjula are total sweethearts who love to get kisses and get petted. They are fabulously affectionate, friendly, and low key. They get along very well with each other but are not bonded siblings. While staff and volunteers would love for these beauties to be adopted together, they can be separated if necessary.

Additional Foster Opportunity: If you have no other pets or young children at home and are looking for a way to serve your community, please consider signing up to be a foster. Foster parents provide temporary care for cats, kittens, and dogs in their own homes. Some animals need as little as two weeks of care, while others may need care for extended periods of time.

Zeus is a happy-go-lucky, 6-year-old fella who enjoys short walks, playtime, treats and plain ole attention. He would flourish in an experienced home with no other pets and older kids. Zeus is content with hanging inside or outside and would need a very secure fence outside. Zeus can get overstimulated when seeing other dominant or intense dogs and would need continuous structure to be safely handled in these situations. A dog savvy home that would provide structure and continued training would be a dream come true for our Zeus.

For more information about adopting Zeus, please contact the shelter at 631-643-9270.
