Available for adoption at North Shore Animal League America

Dune
Dune

Dune (Adoption #PM6129) is a 4-year-old Shar Pei mix who was rescued from a puppy mill. He is a medium sized dog filled with playful energy and his sweet demeanor makes him the perfect candidate to become your new best friend. He would love to join a family with older children in a home with a fully fenced in yard. Dune would do best in a home where’s the king of the castle and the only pet in the home. This way he can have all the ear scratches, treats, and attention to himself.

Cee Cee
Cee Cee

Cee Cee (Adoption #LA1428) is an 11-month-old Australian Cattle Dog mix who is looking for an active family to join. She loves to go on long walks, play with other canines’ friends, and playing with stuffed animals and toys. This energetic pup is looking for a family with children over the age of twelve and possibly a canine sibling to run around and play with in the backyard.

Toby
Toby

Toby (Adoption #G27615) is a 1-year-old Terrier mix who is looking for a place to call home. His perfect family setting would be one with older children as he shows excitement by jumping on his people. He likes to play with other dogs but would like to meet any potential canine siblings before for going home. If you’re interested in meeting this ball of energy and love, come visit Toby at NSALA’s Adoption Center in Port Washington today!

Brooklyn
Brooklyn

Brooklyn (Adoption #V31018) is a slightly shy 6-and-a-half-year-old female Boxer mix rescued from Virginia who is looking for a forever home where she can truly come out of her shell. This beautiful girl would do best in a home with previous dog owners and children above age six. NSALA can schedule a meet & greet with Brooklyn for any other dogs in the home as well as any children in the household.

Little Man
Little Man

Six-year-old Little Man (Adoption #T103643) is looking for little time and a little patience from adopters willing to work with him through his shyness. This male Dachshund mix originally from Tennessee would do best with an owner who has previous dog experience (knowledge of the breed would even better) and a household with children over age fourteen. Little Man would prefer everyone in the home (including any other dogs) to come meet him first to see if he’s destined to be the newest member of the family.

Fawn
Fawn

This beautiful Shepherd mix rescued from Louisiana is having the time of her life experiencing the colder climate and snow here at North Shore Animal League America.  Seven-month-old Fawn (Adoption #LA2402) is super smart and full of puppy energy so she’d thrive in a home where the adopters have owned dogs before (any experience with German Shepherds would be a plus) and have a fully fenced-in yard (no chain link – that’s climbable!) Fawn would like to meet everyone in the household first, including other dogs and any children (over age 10, please.)

Leslie
Leslie

Beautiful baby girl Leslie (Adoption #LA1607) is a 1-year-old chocolate Labrador mix with soulful eyes who was rescued from Louisiana. This young lady can be shy with new people in new situations but once she warms up, she’s full of goofy puppy energy. Leslie is looking for an active family who can keep up with her and continue with her behavioral training. She’ll need a home in a neighborhood on the quiet side with a fully-fenced-in-yard where she can run and explore safely. Adopters who have previous dog experience and older children (14 and up) would help Leslie adapt to her new environment and settle into being a beloved member of the family.

Lola
Lola

Lola (Adoption #T95475) is a 6-year-old black Collie mix originally rescued from Tennessee. This girl might seem a bit nervous in new situations so she’s looking for an adopter willing to give her a little time to ease into being a new family member. An ideal household would have children over age 10 and adults with previous dog experience. Lola is open to sharing a home with another dog but would like to meet the potential canine sibling first.

Lex Luthor
Lex Luthor

Lex Luthor is a handsome 5-year-old fella who was found wandering the streets as a stray. Since coming to the Animal Shelter, Lex has adjusted to indoor life really well while enjoying all the food he can devour. He is a big man with a big heart, an amazing personality, and a love for everyone he meets! Lex is FIV positive, but this doesn’t seem to bother him at all. Lex’s perfect family will snuggle up with him and will give him all the warmth and safety he deserves. If you are interested in adopting Lex, please call 631-360-7575 for more information.
