The Paramount in Huntington will officially debut its new music venue with a performance by Michael Glabicki, lead singer of Rusted Root, on March 18.

Spotlight Art Bar, located below The Paramount, is a 200-capacity, standalone concert space that started hosting local musicians in summer of 2020. This, however, will be its first ticketed show of many to come.

“Rusted Root actually played the first live show at The Paramount in 2011, so I’m really excited to be christening Spotlight with my duo show in 2022,” Glabicki said.

The band, best known for the hit 1990 single “Send Me On My Way,” was the first to play at The Paramount during its soft opening in August 2012 before its official first show starring Elvis Costello. The March 18 debut of Spotlight Art Bar will feature Glabicki reimagining old and new tunes in this more intimate setting. Rusted Root’s longtime guitar player and background vocalist, Dirk Miller, will join him.

Spotlight Art Bar will host art galleries and more live music events in the future, while offering food and drink from its full bar including 12 taps, gourmet burgers, and pizza.
