The spring edition of the Long Island foodie event Taste of the South Shore will bring an exciting night of eats and entertainment to Gatsby on the Ocean at Jones Beach on May 19.
Guests will browse and taste from more than 55 booths featuring food, beverages, and shopping, as well as participating in contests, lounging by fire pits, and enjoying some surprise performances, all for $35 general admission or a $65 VIP ticket.
“We wanted Taste of the South Shore to celebrate our local restaurants and bar partners,” said Alissa Marti, marketing director and event producer for Taste of the South Shore. “If guests can’t afford to come to our event, then it’s a total waste to try to promote these amazing partners and drive local restaurant business.”
There will be 18 food vendors, more than 40 different alcoholic drinks to try, and 15 shopping experiences set up at the foodie party. Some of the event featured attractions will be Porsche South Shore cars on display for guests to both look at and sit inside, tastings of Oprah Winfrey’s rose wine, acrobat performances and live music, and four lanes of ax throwing with NY Ax Throwing.
Food vendors will include Zef’s Pizza Truck, Krisch’s Homemade Ice Cream, Roast Sandwich Shop, Chiddy’s Cheesesteaks, DJs Clam Shack, Shelby’s Kitchen & Catering, and more.
The event is being hosted by Connoisseur Media Long Island and presented by its main sponsor Porsche South Shore. Ticket proceeds will benefit Island Harvest and Discover Long Island.
A general admission ticket to Taste of the South Shore includes three hours of unlimited tastings and entertainment and a VIP ticket allows for an extra hour with early entry. Discount codes include: TASTE (about 15% off on GA tickets) and TASTEVIP (about 25% off on VIP tickets).
