3 New Restaurants to Try on Long Island

NAPPI’S NOOK

A favorite Nesconset breakfast and lunch eatery has completed renovations and recently reopened.

Opened in June, the breakfast and brunch menu features various types of omelets, along with an array of waffles and pancakes. For lunch, look for the flatbreads and sandwiches. Staff favorites include the short rib bene ($18) and the beignet breakfast ($15). And of course, no brunch is complete without a mimosa. Nappi’s Nook serves classic brunch cocktails, such as mimosas ($9), bloody Marys ($10), and bellinis ($9).

With a chic interior design and dining options for everyone, Nappi’s Nook is the perfect spot for brunch with friends.

ROBERTA’S MONTAUK

The popular Brooklyn pizzeria made its debut in Montauk in May.

Roberta’s is best known for its wood-fired pizza. The Montauk menu serves popular options such as the bee sting ($25) and the famous original ($23). The menu also features seafood such as Maine sea urchin ($54) and Pacific sturgeon caviar ($75). Veggie options include marinated cucumbers with garlic, basil, and chili ($15) and endive with a sea lettuce vinaigrette ($19). To round off your meal, treat yourself to some strawberry- or vanilla-flavored soft-serve ice cream ($10).

Located right near Fort Pond Bay, Roberta’s offers both outdoor and indoor dining where guests can enjoy their meals.

GUAC TIME

If you’re looking for home-style Mexican cooking, look no further than Guac Time. After its success in New York City, Guac Time opened a new location in Hicksville in May.

The restaurant focuses on sourcing local ingredients from nearby farmers’ markets to ensure fresh and tasty food all year round, and bills itself as a 100% antibiotic- and steroid-free Mexican grill.

At Guac Time you have the option of creating your own bowl or burrito ($11+) or choosing one of several signature bowls ($11-$14). Guac Time also serves quesadillas ($10-$12), birria ($11-$25), and taco boxes ($11-$13). To wash it all down, pick up a bottle of Jarritos soda, with flavor options such as pineapple to tamarind ($3).
